Claudia Wellington

Claudia Wellington, born December 12, 1946, integrated Norview Junior High School with four other children. She was 12 years old. Her sister Carol attended Norview High School.

Her experiences have not been recorded through the news media or other interviews.

After leaving Norfolk to continue high school in San Francisco, Claudia returned and graduated from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and was crowned "Miss Norfolk State." She pursued a variety of careers -- fund-raiser at Yale University, associate television producer with the Montel Williams Show, and a mediator with CLUSTER, a non-profit in Yonkers, NY. She lived most recently in New York, and died there of a stroke on December 28, 2004.*
