Women's History Month 2006 Logo

This exhibition was originally created for Women's History Month 2006 to honor many of the women at Old Dominion University who contributed to a sense of community and encouraged dreams in others. The Libraries wanted to honor the "spirit of possibility and hope" these women set in motion. 

Photos and news articles help tell the story of:

• Events of the 1970s when women's issues became a major concern for American society
• Some of the women at ODU who have inspired others because of the positions they have achieved
• Accomplishments of the University Women's Caucus
• The Women's Center activities and programs
• The formation of the Women's Studies Department
• Highlights of the Women's Athletics program
